Mechanical Engineer - Orlando, FL

Are you the kind of engineer who geeks out over solving complex problems and gets a kick out of seeing your creations come to life? Do you dream in SolidWorks and occasionally sketch stress calculations on napkins? We’ve got the perfect playground for your talents.

Our leading, a leading engineering firm, is on the hunt for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Orlando, where imagination meets engineering on a grand scale. You’ll be designing and building jaw-dropping mechanical systems for major theme park projects, the kind that wow guests, power experiences, and challenge the limits of what’s possible.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Taking mechanical systems from napkin sketch to real-world masterpiece — concept, design, analysis, install, test, repeat.
  • Designing mechanical assemblies and systems using AutoCAD and SolidWorks like a boss.
  • Performing stress, fatigue, and load calculations (you know, the fun stuff).
  • Leading the charge on hazard analyses, risk assessments, and making sure everything’s safe and sound — especially when there’s high-speed motion involved.
  • Troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic systems like a pro.
  • Writing documentation that’s just as solid as your designs — from theory of operations to maintenance playbooks.
  • Jumping into system startup and debugging with sleeves rolled up.
  • Acting as tech lead and mentor for junior teammates (and occasional project manager when the budget calls for it).

What They Are Looking For:

  • 5+ years of real-world mechanical engineering experience, ideally with large-scale systems (and bonus points if you’ve worked on amusement rides or anything involving acceleration forces).
  • A Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (or a secret PhD in “Making Things Awesome”).
  • A passion for design that works — safely, reliably, and elegantly.
  • Solid chops in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with ASTM ride safety standards, system redundancy principles, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Someone who’s organized, communicative, and ready to collaborate across disciplines.

Bonus Skills That’ll Make You a Star:

  • Experience designing for guest movement, reach envelopes, and emergency evacuation scenarios.
  • Comfort juggling multiple hats — engineer, project manager, occasional magician.

Why You’ll Love It There:

  • You’ll be part of a team that builds real things — complex, cutting-edge systems for the entertainment and manufacturing world.
  • No two days are the same. You’ll face new challenges and get to see the impact of your work up close.
  • We're a collaborative, hands-on crew that takes engineering seriously — but never ourselves too seriously.

Sound like your kind of ride? Apply today and build something amazing!
